Life science company Psyched Wellness Ltd (CNSX: PSYC) (OTCQB: PSYCF) announced having submitted a patent application in the United States Patent and Trademark office to cover the special extraction formula for its Amanita muscaria extract AME-1.
The company mainly focuses on production and disbursement of artisanal functional and psychedelic mushrooms.
Psyched wellness says it submitted the provisional application on March 12, 2021 as App. No. 63/160,721.
“We have invested a lot of resources to develop AME-1 using a unique extraction protocol that we have developed. We believe that AME-1 has great potential and will be the foundation for many future products,” said the company’s COO David Shisel.
Psyched Wellness is patenting the extraction of muscimol from Amanita mushrooms especially the process of extracting enhanced muscimol from Amanita muscaria which involves distillation, refluxing and pressing resulting into a powder or a liquid useful for human health.
The company’s chief executive Jeff Stevens believes this filing is a major milestone for Psyched Wellness and shareholders of the company. The CEO is also optimistic the company will file for more patent applications in the future.
