Psychedelic medicine biotech company developing psychedelic inspired medicine and therapies MindMed Inc. (MNMD) has appointed Dr. Robert H. Dworking to its scientific advisory board.
Dr. Robert Dworking has a spent over three decades conducting clinical trials linked to pain. Currently he is the Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Neurogy and Psychiatric at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Without a doubt, Dr. Dworking has immense experience when it comes to the medical field as he served various high ranking positions in the medical industry over the years. He has served as a consultant to multiple pharmaceutical and medical devices companies in development and evaluation of analgesic treatments.
Dr. Dworking has also served as the principal investigator for a huge number of clinical trials financed by the government seeking to establish treatments for various types of pain.
“Existing medications for pain have modest efficacy and are often poorly tolerated or accompanied by safety risks. The results of studies conducted over the past few decades suggest that psychedelics have considerable promise as novel pain treatments.
