Life sciences company specializing in research and development of psychedelic medicines Lobe Sciences Ltd. (CSE: LOBE) (OTCMKTS: GTSIF) announced having entered into a partnership with the World Boxing Association (WBA) to launch a global registry for identification and long term management of current and retired boxers with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The World Boxing Organization is among the four oldest global organization which sanction professional boxing bouts. The President of WBO, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, acknowledges that boxers might end up suffering brain injuries due to violent offence attacks which occur sometimes and he believes that resurgence of psychedelic therapies will help improve the lives of the boxers.

It is no secret that a boxing match is highlighted by skillful defense and aggressive, sometimes violent offensive attacks. From the beginning the WBA has known that a number of our members suffer from the short and long-term effects of varying degrees of mild traumatic brain injury associated with their time competing in the ring. We believe in the promise of the resurgence of psychedelic medicine and are proud to be collaborating with Lobe as we work together to improve the lives and health of members of the WBA family,” said Mendoza.
